Dr. Tristan Burgess

STOP Spillover’s Wildlife Field Team Lead

Dr. Tristan Burgess is a wildlife veterinarian and epidemiologist who serves as STOP Spillover’s Wildlife Field Team Lead. He is Vice President for Science and Education and Associate Professor of Wildlife Health and Epidemiology at the Center for Wildlife Studies. Dr. Burgess provides field veterinary services and consults on wildlife health management for state and federal governments, conservation NGOs, and zoos and aquaria in the U.S. He holds a B.V.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Wildlife Epidemiology from the University of California, Davis, and can be reached at tburgess@centerforwildlifestudies.org.
