Dr. Danièle Olga Konan is the STOP Spillover Country Team Lead for Côte d’Ivoire. Dr. Konan brings more than 10 years of experience in participatory and community research at the Centre Suisse de Recherches Scientifiques in Côte d’Ivoire. Her main research interests are the sociocultural determinants of disease occurrence in rural communities and integrated prevention/control/elimination approaches to zoonotic and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Dr. Konan is an associate researcher at Afrique One-ASPIRE, which leads One Health research in Côte d’Ivoire. She has focused on improving the management of zoonotic disease (Buruli ulcer) and NTDs (lymphatic filariasis, malaria) prevalent in community settings with limited access to health care and minimal resources. Dr. Konan has a Ph.D. in the Social Anthropology of Health from the University Alassane Ouattara of Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire. She can be reached at dkonan@afrohun.org.
